Royal Drawing School at Dumfries House

I recently attended a residency with the Royal Drawing School at Dumfries House in Ayrshire. The residency was an opportunity to observe the landscape as it subtly transitioned from winter into spring. The difference within the landscape impacted my colour palette, where I immersed myself in the changing colour and patterns. I experimented ‘drawing’ with found materials within the surrounding area, that are in transience and unique to the season. I will be heading back in late September and look forward to working within a completely different landscape as summer moves into autumn. I also meet some very talented artists who had travel across the UK to Dumfries House, it was great to hear about their creative practice.

Please see below links to The Royal Drawing School which is in London, throughout the year they hold classes and exhibition of students work. Along with Dumfries House which is well worth a visit the grounds are beautiful.

St Magnus International Festival

I am delighted to be collaborating with the St Magnus festival within their Garden Tour. I will be installing work across Orkney in three locations Woodwick House, Happy Valley and Papdale Gardens. I think it is the most ambitious work I have made to date, will post details nearer the time. In the mean time please have a look at the program see the link below.
